Giatroi.info is a free, informational healthcare directory for Cyprus. It lists doctors and healthcare providers registered with the General Healthcare System (GeSY). The service is operated by Vladimir Bugay, an individual based in Cyprus.

By using giatroi.info, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. No Medical Advice

IMPORTANT: Giatroi.info provides directory information only.

  • This service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • We do not recommend, endorse, or evaluate any healthcare provider listed on this platform.
  • We do not verify the competence, qualifications, or quality of care of any listed provider.
  • A provider's listing on this platform does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
  • In case of a medical emergency, call 112 (EU emergency number) or 199 (Cyprus ambulance).

3. Data Source and Accuracy

All healthcare provider data displayed on giatroi.info is sourced from the official GeSY registry (gesy.org.cy). The data is updated periodically but may not reflect real-time changes.

We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or currency. Contact information, availability, specialties, and other details may be outdated or contain errors originating from the source data.

If you notice inaccurate information, please report it to v@bougay.com.

4. Platform Neutrality

All healthcare providers are displayed on equal terms. The platform maintains strict neutrality:

  • No provider pays for a basic listing or receives preferential treatment.
  • Listing order is determined by objective criteria (alphabetical order, specialty grouping, geographic distance for the Near Me feature) -- not by payment or commercial relationship.
  • The platform does not receive referral fees or commissions from any provider.

If premium or featured listings are introduced in the future, they will be clearly and transparently identified, in compliance with the EU Platform-to-Business Regulation (Article 5).

5. Acceptable Use

You may use giatroi.info for personal, non-commercial purposes to find information about healthcare providers in Cyprus. You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the site. The database compilation is protected under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC).
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service at scale.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the service's operation or security.
  • Use information obtained from the site to send unsolicited communications to listed healthcare providers.
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Create more than one account per person, or share or transfer your account to another person.
  • Use your account to impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The database compilation, website design, source code, and original content of giatroi.info are the intellectual property of Vladimir Bugay and are protected by copyright and the EU Database Directive.

The underlying healthcare provider data is sourced from the GeSY public registry. Third-party trademarks, including GeSY and the General Healthcare System, belong to their respective owners.

7. Healthcare Provider Rights

Healthcare providers are listed based on publicly available data from the GeSY registry. If you are a healthcare provider listed on giatroi.info, you may:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information about you.
  • Provide supplementary information (e.g., updated contact details, additional specialties).
  • Object to your listing, which will be evaluated in accordance with GDPR Article 21.

Contact privacy@giatroi.info with any requests. We will respond within 30 days.

8. User Accounts and Content

Account creation is optional. You may sign in using your Google account to access personalized features including bookmarks and cross-device recently viewed history.

  • Account deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data (bookmarks, recently viewed history, Telegram link) from your account settings page at any time.
  • Your data: Bookmarks and recently viewed history are personal to your account. We do not share this data with third parties or other users.
  • Telegram linking: You may optionally link your Telegram account to your giatroi.info profile. You can unlink it at any time from your account settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

Giatroi.info is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, we are not liable for:

  • Any decisions you make based on information found on this platform.
  • The quality, safety, or outcome of care received from any listed healthcare provider.
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated provider information.
  • Service interruptions, unavailability, or technical errors.
  • Actions or content of third-party services (including Google Maps).
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

Giatroi.info uses third-party services including Google OAuth (sign-in), Google Maps (embedded maps on profile pages), Google Analytics (analytics), PostHog (analytics), Neon (database), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of embedded third-party content is subject to the respective provider's terms of service.

When you first visit giatroi.info, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject analytics cookies. Analytics services (Google Analytics and PostHog) operate in a cookieless, aggregate-only mode until you accept. For full details on cookies and consent, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the use of giatroi.info shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under EU consumer protection law, including the Cyprus Consumer Rights Law of 2013, are not affected by these terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute:

  2. EU Online Dispute Resolution: You can submit a complaint through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and provide notice through the website.

Where the EU Platform-to-Business Regulation applies, we will provide at least 15 days' notice before changes affecting healthcare provider listings take effect.

Your continued use of giatroi.info after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
